The Cessna 421 tourist plane crashed in a field in La Baule, France on Friday 19th June. Per a report from

, the owner of the plane was Claude Guillemot, one of the co-founders of French video game publisher Ubisoft. Both he and a flight instructor were killed.
The wreckage was reportedly on fire when first responders arrived, and apparently formal identification hasn’t yet been possible. The family were informed yesterday evening of the tragedy.

On Friday, June 19, Guillemot was flying in a Cessna 421 tourist plane when it crashed in La Baule, France. The circumstances of the crash aren’t clear, but two facilities were confirmed, one being Guillemot, and another being a flight instructor.
Per reports, identification was delayed due to the nature of the crash, with the plane being ablaze when emergency services reached the crash site.

According to a report by Ouest-France, which we are able to confirm, Claude Guillemot—who co-founded Ubisoft with his four brothers and was the owner of the aircraft—is believed to be one of the two victims.
The Breton executive was expected in La Baule this weekend for an airshow featuring more than a hundred aircraft. The other passenger is believed to be a flight instructor from Rennes.

On Friday afternoon, June 19, a light aircraft crashed in a field in the commune of La Baule, resulting in the deaths of two people, firefighters of the Loire-Atlantique department reported.
